How to Spot Phishing Before You Click
Phishing succeeds when a message looks urgent enough to skip careful inspection. Use these cues before opening a link or sharing credentials.
Check the pressure tactic first
Scam messages often create urgency with account closures, missed deliveries, prize claims, or payment warnings. Pause when a message asks you to act immediately.
Inspect the destination
Look for misspelled domains, extra subdomains, shortened links, and login pages that do not match the official service.
Verify through a separate channel
Open the official app or type the known website address yourself. Avoid using the link inside the suspicious message.
